Dr. Nida Chenagtsang

Dr. Nida Chenagtsang was born in Amdo in Tibet on October 10th 1971. He followed his first studies in Amdo and in 1989, he was already teaching Tibetan language in a secondary school in Malo, while privately studying Tibetan medicine with two doctors in the same area. In September 1991, he entered the Lhasa Tibetan Medical College where he studied traditional Tibetan medicine for 4 years. Contemporaneously he started studying and practicing Vajrayana Buddhism. 

He has written several articles in local magazines on physiotherapy and therapist treatments, massage, the use of stick in massage, the relation in between charkas, channels and different diseases, the recitation of mantras to cure certain types of diseases. He is giving teachings in Italy on different aspects of Tibetan medicine  in the course of seminars and workshops organized by the Shang- Shung Institute and he is now involved in setting up the first International school of Tibetan Massage which has been planned by the Medical Department of the Institute.
