Costs of the Ka-ter Translation Project

1. The Dzogchen Tantra Translation Project

The three translators entrusted with this project - Jim Valby, Elio Guarisco and Adriano Clemente - meet and work together for about 1 month. At least one meeting is planned each year. In the meantime the translators work individually. The costs for each year are approximately 31.500 Euro.

2. Training of Translators from Tibetan

The costs of each Training are about 10.000 Euros: about half of these expenses are used for scholarships, the other part is used for paying the work of the instructor and for covering the organization-costs. 

3. Digitalizing Project of the Tantras of Changchub Dorje

The estimated costs for this project - which already has started - are 45.000 Euro.

4. General costs of the Shang Shung Institute 

The general costs for organization, infrastructure, equipment, telephone, and PR are calculated with 600 Euro per months or 7.200 Euro per year.

5. Retirement-fund for the three main translators

In order to grant the three main translators a small pension we need 180.000 Euro until the year 2022. Please read more. 

The Training for Translators from Tibetan and the Dzogchen Tantra Translation Project are permanent activities of the Shang Shung Institute Austria and will last at least until 2015.
